Meet The team

Louise Broadway
Founder & CEO
I’ve been wild about horses for as long as I can remember. Mel was my first show-horse, and she helped me overcome my own anxiety. Since then, I’ve been sharing my passion for horses with those who need it.

Mel
Our wise old mare. Mel has seen it all and done it all! Before joining our charity, Mel spent her days performing at county shows. She still likes to show off her famous backwords circle for our visitors. What a star!

Clips
Mel’s handsome son – people say he could take top prize if he ever went showing! However, Clips is much more dedicated to helping our participants relax than he is to showing off. He’s been training for this ever since he was a foal.

Molly
Our lovely, red-headed, helper-in-training. Molly is new to us, and started her training when she was already grown. Mel and Clips are helping her along the way, and she’s looking forward to meeting our participants soon!

Improving Accessibility at Devon Healing Horsemanship
We are always striving to improve the accessibility of our programme, and with your support, you can help.

Fundraising – Round Corral
We are currently raising money for our own round corral!
This would allow us the mobility to run an adapted version of the course at other venues which are better accessible for physical disabilities.
Fundraising – Our Own Venue
In the long term, we are looking to move into a location we can call our own.
This would allow us to make more accessibility adjustments on our own terms.
